About the Role?

HTG-UK is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role supporting finance operations, with a focus on supplier management, invoice processing, and station-level spend tracking.

You'll gain real-world experience while completing a fully funded Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship (Level 2 or 3), with clear progression routes and full organisational support.

Contracted Hours, Salaries:

Salary: 26,000-28,000 per annum Contract: Full-time, permanent Location: Hybrid - Office based in Wath upon Dearne Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday Training: Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship (Level 2 or 3) Progression: Clear route to Level 6 Accounting Finance Manager qualification

What You'll Be Doing

Process orders for station consumables and uniforms Track and report station-level expenditure Liaise with suppliers, check statements, and resolve queries Set up new suppliers and route invoices for approval Assist with purchase orders, sales invoices, and month-end reconciliations Maintain accurate financial records using HTG-UK systems Contribute to continuous improvement of finance procedures Support ad hoc finance tasks as required

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in a finance or accounting role/environment Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Confident communicator, comfortable with suppliers and internal teams Willingness to learn and complete structured training Familiarity with finance systems or Excel (preferred)
