Job Description

We're ScandiKitchen and we import food from all over the Nordics. We've been around for 18 years and we help Danes, Swedes, Norwegians and Finns as well as other Scandicurious people - get access to the great foods from the Nordics. We do this from our warehouse in Park Royal where we operate an online shop - and we also supply UK wholesalers with goods. In London we have two of our own cafes & delis too. All of this is run by a great bunch of really nice people.

We're looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join our office (based Park Royal NW10). This role deals with everything from bookkeeping to suppliers and spans a wide breath of finance tasks, including some financial aspects of import and purchasing. The role reports into the Finance Manager.

Responsibilities in this role include:



Balance sheet reconciliations (including Bank, credit cards, debtors accounts etc) - both ongoing and project backlog (this is likely to be the main part of this role).

Daily bookkeeping and data entry.

Manage the accounts payable records, including paying supplier invoices.

Maintain accurate accounting records and accounting adjustment for the company.

Raise customer invoices and manage accounts receivable.

Maintain customary internal financial controls.

Monitor office expenses and some cash flow management.

Deal with external suppliers and work closely with purchasing and logistics department to solve daily queries.

Skills & Experience:



Relevant experience in a similar role

Experience in general accounting (processing invoices, payments, statements, bank recs etc)

AAT qualified (minimum level 2 or equivalent).

Logic and problem-solving skills - you can think on your feet and made decisions.

General computer literate with intermediate Excel skills; someone always looking for a slicker IT solution.

Experience with Netsuite or another ERP system is a

big

plus.

Excellent attention to detail.

Able to cope with busy situations, keeping a level calm head.

Positive and outgoing - able to gel with people around you and you're a team player

Knowledge of a Nordic language useful but not essential.

This role is full-time office-based role (although we will consider an 80% role over 4 or 5 days, if this suits better - in that case, the salary will be pro-rata). The role is vacant now (but we'll wait for the right person).
