Finance Assistant



Hybrid Based with working from the Head office in Stonehouse, Gloucestershire each Thursday and other occasional office visits when required.

Finance Assistant

and play a vital role in managing our financial operations. Reporting to the Assistant Financial Controller, you will be responsible for various finance-related tasks, ensuring compliance with company policies and supporting key business functions.

We are now looking for a Finance Assistant to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities



Compliance:

Ensure adherence to Allan Webb company policies and procedures.

Sales Invoicing:

Oversee all sales invoicing (excluding time and material work and scanning), ensuring correct procedures are followed for new customers, approvals, and credit checks. Provide support for scanning invoices when needed.

Credit Control:

Conduct weekly credit control activities, follow up on overdue payments, and send summary reports on outstanding invoices.

Timesheet Management:

Ensure accurate submission of employee timesheets, conduct checks to maintain cost accuracy, and process timesheet imports efficiently.

PDP & TASR Management:

Handle PDP submissions, reconciliations, and expense checks, ensuring software updates are in place.

Onboarding & Employee Management:

Set up TravelPerk accounts for new employees and review work patterns, holiday entitlements, and contract changes.

Payroll Support:

Process monthly payroll cycles for five months of the year and assist with payroll-related queries, including reconciliation of the Electric Car Scheme.

Job Costing Management:

Create and amend job codes, provide costing insights, and manage monthly job code closures.

General Finance Support:

Provide cover for team members when required, assist senior finance staff with ad hoc duties, and help with purchase order processing.

Annual Contributions:

Support year-end document collection and ensure relevant financial records are up to date.

Who Were Looking For




Were seeking a detail-oriented finance professional with strong organisational skills, an ability to multitask, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience in financial processes and accounting software would be an advantage but full training will be provided. Please note, you will require the right to work in the UK. The successful candidate will also need to hold SC level security clearance.
