We Ship Global Forwarding is a fast growing international freight forwarder based in Suffolk. We Ship is part of the Raptor Logistics Group, working alongside the companies in the group, We Prep E-commerce Logistics and Forwarding and D&M Logistic Solutions.

The group HQ is in Stowmarket, and has further site in Ipswich and Felixstowe.

Key responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any invoice discrepancies Prepare weekly payment runs and reports for approval Maintain up-to-date records of supplier accounts

Accounts Receivable:

Prepare and issue customer invoices Monitor incoming payments and follow up on overdue balances Respond to customer queries promptly and professionally Maintain accurate customer account records

Banking/Cashflow:

Perform daily bank reconciliations Accurately record transactions in the accounting software and cashflow report Monitor cash balances and flag any irregularities or issues

Month-End & General Finance Support:

Assist with month-end close tasks including reconciliations and reporting Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc analysis and administrative duties Maintain organised digital and physical financial records Ensure all financial processes comply with internal controls and company policies

Skills/Experience:

Previous experience in a similar Finance or Accounts Assistant role (preferred but not necessary)*
Good understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (training will be provided) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organisational and communication skills Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Salary:

24,000 to 27,000 (Pro rata)
