We're looking for a

Finance Assistant

to join our

finance and administration

team at our Swanage office. This role is ideal for someone starting out in finance who's keen to learn, get hands-on experience, and grow their skills in a fun, fast-paced environment.

The initial contract is

8 months

, with the

potential to extend

based on performance and business needs.

Pay & working pattern

12.71 per hour (approx. 26,400 per annum, full-time equivalent)

Full-time

, Monday to Friday,

08:30-17:00

A

4-day week (pro rata)

may be considered You'll work

1 weekend per month from May to August

to support our peak season

What you'll be doing

Assisting with

purchase and sales invoice processing

Supporting

accounts payable and accounts receivable

Helping with

bank and balance sheet reconciliations

Assisting with

payment runs

and general finance administration Maintaining accurate financial records within

Xero accounting software

Supporting

month-end finance tasks

Responding to finance-related queries from colleagues and suppliers Helping with ad-hoc finance and admin tasks as required

What we're looking for

Some experience in a

finance, accounts, or admin role

, or relevant education A genuine interest in starting a career in

finance or accounting

Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn Comfortable working with

numbers and spreadsheets

Organised, reliable, and able to work in a busy team environment Experience with

Xero

is a bonus (but not essential) Studying or interested in studying

AAT or similar

is a plus
