Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will support financial operations, assist with bookkeeping, and ensure the accuracy of financial records. What you'll be doing
Carrying out accounts receivable processes including inputting receivables invoices as required, processing refunds, resolving issues and queries and allocating payments received accurately
Carrying out accounts payable processes including inputting purchase invoices, ensuring timely approvals, resolving issues, responding to queries, drafting payment runs and sending out remittance advices
Making payments out of the bank account to barristers and transfers to other TBG accounts
Complete bank reconciliations including reconciling payments and receipts
Complete reconciliations between Xero and the sales ledger
Assisting with the month end procedure including preparation of reconciliations and cost analysis
Being a key point of contact for queries from other internal departments as well as external parties
Assisting with payroll processing and reconciliation
Maintaining accurate financial records and update accounting systems (Xero)
Ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures
Providing general administrative support to the finance team
Qualifications
(required)
AAT part or fully qualified (Level 2 minimum)
A good foundation in basic accountancy skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently and accurately
Able to identify errors and inconsistencies in data, and ensure that it is accurate, reliable and complete
Ability to manage own time, work effectively and efficiently, and work to deadlines
Able to establish effective working relationships with others
Competent with computer systems and applications including strong Microsoft Excel skills
Desirable
. Experience of working with Xero (accounting system)
