We're going through an exciting time and looking for a Finance professional to join the Business and Finance team to help us prepare for future growth. This project-based role offers the opportunity to work on a number of critical deliverables, supporting the Head of Finance in driving forward key business system and process improvements.



In this hands-on position, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting a variety of exciting projects across the business, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in everything you do. You'll be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team that values your contributions and welcomes fresh ideas.

A day in the life of a Finance Assistant will involve:




Financial Operations & Reporting: Working with the operational team to audit billing data, preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting with accurate customer invoicing across various billing cycles. Audit & Compliance Support: You'll assist with external and internal audits by providing documentation and reviewing financial controls, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance and transparency. Process Improvement & Systems Review: You'll take a proactive role in evaluating current workflows and software tools, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across finance operations. Budgeting & Tax Responsibilities Contributing to budget creation and reporting for budget holders, and support the preparation of Tax and VAT returns in line with regulatory requirements. Customer & Credit Control Liaison: Resolving payment delays by working closely with credit control, and provide responsive support to customer queries, ensuring timely and accurate communication with internal teams.



To be a successful Finance Assistant you'll need:




Regonised accounting qualification or working towards it (AAT or equivalent), with knowledge and understanding of financial systems and processes. Strong IT skills - We'll train you on how to use our systems, but it is essential you have a working understanding of using Microsoft packages like Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and ideally Xero. Strong organisational abilities, excellent time management, and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks efficiently. Great Communication and Relationship-Building Skills: This role requires outstanding verbal and written communication abilities. You should enjoy working with people, be team-oriented, and capable of building strong relationships with all departments.
