This role as Finance Assistant offers an exciting opportunity to support the Accounting & Finance department within the life sciences industry. Based in York, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with financial tasks and contributing to the smooth operation of financial processes.

• Assist in preparing and processing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Maintain and update financial records, supporting the wider Accounting & Finance team in York.
• Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies to ensure data integrity.
• Provide support for monthly and year-end financial reporting activities.
• Assist in preparing financial summaries and reports for internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient financial operations.
• Respond to financial queries from internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Support other ad-hoc finance-related tasks as required.

A successful Finance Assistant should have:
