We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts & Admin Assistant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in managing financial records, and maintaining all office administration procedures.
Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and processing of accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely payments to suppliers.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using Sage accounting software.
Support the reconciliation of bank statements and assist in month-end closing procedures.
Prepare and maintain financial reports as required by management.
Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
Respond to inquiries from vendors and internal departments regarding account discrepancies or payment issues.
Assist in the implementation of new accounting software or systems as needed.
Skills
Proficiency in Sage 50 accounting software.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with various stakeholders.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills.
