Enterprise Finance Business Partner (Maternity Cover)

What's the role?

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will act as a strategic advisor bridging finance and operations. Partnering with senior stakeholders, you will provide financial insight, analysis, and guidance to support decision-making, drive efficiency, and maximise development margins.

Please note this is a fixed-term role for 15 months maternity cover.

What will I have to do?

Financial & Analytical

Prepare timely, accurate management accounts, cost-of-sales, and margin analysis for designated service areas. Coordinate and validate forecasts and budgets. Produce monthly variance analysis and commentary on financial performance. Provide analytical management information to support operational decision-making. Support the annual audit process, ensuring compliance and accuracy across all entities. Maintain accurate control account reconciliations and strengthen financial controls.

Commercial & Strategic Thinking

Actively support operational management teams, influencing key financial and strategic decisions. Identify financial opportunities to improve value for money and manage financial risks. Deliver commercial insights to enhance efficiency, profitability, and performance.

Stakeholder Management

Serve as the main finance contact for designated service areas. Advise and support budget holders to build financial understanding and improve decision-making. Coach non-finance colleagues to strengthen financial awareness. Maintain up-to-date procedural documentation. Take responsibility for own and others' health and safety, ensuring compliance with Curo's policies.

What do I need to be successful?

Hold a relevant professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or be qualified by experience. Demonstrate experience in preparing management accounts, forecasts, and budgets. Evidence strong business partnering with operational teams. Show excellent attention to detail, balancing accuracy and timeliness. Exhibit strong commercial awareness and sound financial judgement. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, with proven influencing and negotiation skills. Demonstrate advanced IT and Excel skills. Experience with COINS and/or housebuilding (desirable but not essential).
