The Gifted Stationery Company, founded in 2007 and became part of the Swan Mill Group in 2024 is well known for its stationery, gift and lifestyle products supplies well known National Retailers, Charities and Garden Centres as well as Independent Retailers.
This role is based at our offices in Bath, and is an opportunity to join a dynamic finance team in a varied and challenging role.
Key responsibilities include:
Producing, analyse and report business performance data weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
Preparing and issue monthly finance report for business and ensure incorporated into wider group finance report as per agreed deadlines.
Preparing, reviewing and presenting quarterly business forecasts and annual budget.
Creating financial dashboard for the business by extracting data from systems via ODBC to feed into plans/reports/costings/P&L's etc.
Tracking and analysing sale or return performance by customer, product/design and feed into relevant plans, product and profitability reviews.
Product/customer profitability analysis to improve RoS.
Product/customer costings/quotes with sales team helping to set prices.
Tracking Retro/rebates/royalties and sending monthly/quarterly reports to customers/licences etc plus ensuring appropriate provisions in accounts.
Year End audit cover, analytical review, stock provision and retro/rebates/SOR queries.
Proactively seek costs saving/profit enhancing opportunities and productivity/process efficiency improvements.
Attending monthly board meeting and present financial results, variance analysis, projected monthly, quarterly and annual out-turn and answer any questions.
Attributes/Skills Required:
Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
Strong financial modelling/analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
A dynamic self-starter with a proactive and flexible approach to challenge
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
