About the role
The Finance Business Partner, reporting into the Head of Finance Business Partnering in a dynamic finance team and at an exciting time for the business. This role will be responsible for acting as the finance business partner for our newly launch Homeowner Loans business. This is a hands-on role in a high-growth environment, ideally suited for someone eager to help shape the future of a specialist lending business.
Responsibilities will include:
Responsible for supporting the annual budgeting and regular forecasting cycles.
Gain clear financial understanding of any business case proposals and projects, including cost drivers, KPIs and outcomes expected, challenging where required
Deliver monthly business performance reviews, analysis and insight to support decision-making.
Partner with all levels of stakeholders across the business- building great relationships to ensure financial alignment with strategic objectives.
Support delivery of financial plans through timely and accurate analysis, reporting and highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variances.
Drive continuous improvement with the finance team.
Regularly influencing and presenting key findings from financial analysis to senior finance management.
About you
As a Finance Business Partner, you will act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders, providing financial expertise to drive performance and influence strategic decisions to help meet the longer business plan goals. You will also have an eye for detail and be willing to propose solutions to potential problems rather than waiting for the answer.
Skills required
Experience within a finance function desirable (advantageous if financial services), either within management reporting or a planning and analysis role.
Qualified accountant with 3+ years of experience
Financial partnering experience within a lending or mortgage environment is desirable but not essential
Advanced user of Microsoft Excel, with the ability to comfortably build and operate complex financial models.
Experience of using analysis and insight to drive business decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences and a desire to work within a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
