The Role
We are seeking a commercially astute Finance Business Partner to support high-level decision-making within one of our key divisions. Acting as the link between finance and operations, this role combines strategic oversight with responsibility for financial processes, ensuring accurate forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. It requires strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills to support and influence non-finance stakeholders and senior leaders. Key responsibilities:
Producing timely, accurate monthly management accounts
Performing variance analysis and identifying risks/opportunities
Partnering with business units on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
Keen focus on cashflow forecasting
Ownership of balance sheet for Recycling division
Leading financial scenario analysis to support business cases
Collaborating with the wider finance team on reporting and cost control
Driving improvements in tools, processes, and systems
Participate in finance related projects
Posting journals, accruals, and intercompany transactions
Reconciliations
Line management responsibility for direct reports, including performance, development, and support
Who you are
You are a qualified finance professional with a strong track record in true business partnering. You thrive in a collaborative environment and can translate complex financial data into actionable insights. You have the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence stakeholders, and you're always looking for ways to improve processes and add value, demonstrating commercial awareness.
ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
Commercial acumen and analytical mindset
Treasury and cashflow management knowledge (desirable)
BA in Finance, Accounting or related field (desirable)
