Job Title: Finance Business Partner
Location: Glasgow
Role Overview
As a Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for the management reporting function of one or more Business Units within the business. Acting as a trusted advisor to the Business Unit Head, you will provide accurate, timely, and insightful financial and non-financial information to support strategic decision-making. You will also lead budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial performance and control.
Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with Business Unit Heads and key stakeholders to enhance financial understanding and performance.
  • Act as a strategic advisor on financial matters, driving engagement and operational efficiency.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and deliver insightful financial analysis.
  • Review monthly management accounts and prepare detailed Business Unit reports.
  • Develop periodic cashflow projections and support working capital management.
  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts in collaboration with Business Unit Heads.
  • Drive continuous improvement in finance processes and implement best practices.
  • Oversee quarterly reporting submissions to the parent company.
  • Manage and support Finance staff, including performance appraisals and development.
  • Support external audit processes and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests, projects, and financial research from senior management.
Qualifications & Experience Education:
  • Professional Accountancy Qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA, ACA) with post-qualification experience.
Experience:
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role within a large organisation.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and business partnering experience.
  • Expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
Skills:
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical ability.
  • Excellent time management and ability to meet strict deadlines.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of financial regulations.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
