My client is seeking an experienced and commercially astute

Finance Business Partner

to support the organisation through a critical period of financial activity. This is a hands-on role requiring someone confident in business partnering, financial reporting, and providing actionable insight to drive performance and informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities of the Finance Business Partner:

Act as a trusted partner to operational teams, providing financial insight, challenge, and support for strategic and tactical decisions. Translate complex financial data into clear, meaningful analysis for non-finance stakeholders. Lead and support month-end close, ensuring accurate reporting, variance analysis, and commentary against budget and forecast. Prepare and review journals, accruals, and prepayments; maintain audit-ready documentation. Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations, resolving reconciling items promptly. Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling to guide planning decisions. Collaborate with business leaders to identify risks, opportunities, and cost efficiencies. Contribute to business cases, investment appraisals, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA). Strong background in

management accounting, financial reporting

, and

business partnering

. Proven ability to deliver insight and drive performance using large data sets. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence presenting to senior teams. Commercially focused, with experience in

utilities, infrastructure, or asset-intensive industries

preferred. Advanced Excel and strong financial systems knowledge.
