The Finance Business Partner, TikTok Shop team are responsible for overseeing user growth expenses, including forecasting, expense review and approval, efficiency analysis, performance evaluations, risk management, and other finance-related activities. This role plays a key part in supporting the TikTok Shop User Growth business team by driving strategic decision-making and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
In this role, you will support the team's full process of budget management, including but not limited to forecasting and budgeting, efficiency analysis, performance recap, risk control and other finance related issues to assist the team on both strategy decision making and daily operation.
Management reporting preparation and optimisation:
- Participate in monthly closing for management reporting.
- Organise business and accounting data under the guidance of a Finance Business Partner.
- Prepare multi-dimensional management reporting financial statements.
- Explain budget to actual variances.
- Improve business-financial metrics, optimise the report consolidation logic, and collaborate with product and data teams to continuously enhance timeliness, accuracy, and automation.
Projections and Budget:
- Assist Finance Business Partner in collecting and producing financial projections and budgets, including weekly monitoring and monthly review work.
- Ensure forecasts and models are reasonable and accurate.
- Provide basic data support, build business-financial model templates, and continuously improve financial planning and analysis processes.
Analysis and Research:
- Assist Finance Business Partner in deep-dive analysis and external market research.
- Provide insights to the business team.
Master Data and Budget System Maintenance and Optimisation:
- Maintain and update budget accounts, cost centers, and other financial master data.
- Update settings in the budget system on a timely basis.
- Work with the Systems team to complete updates and iterations of the budget system.
- Perform special ad hoc projects and analysis along with business development progress.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of FP&A or related analytical experience
- Eager to learn with a strong learning ability; able to work independently with attention to detail in the face of pressure and rapid change, sensitive to numbers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, good team spirit, and the ability to collaborate with a diverse range of people and job functions, able to transform complex issues into expressions that are easy for all parties to understand.
- Possess good cross-team communication skills, be self-driven, and able to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
- Medium-level proficiency in oral / written Mandarin is required due to interactions and business meetings with stakeholders in China who may not be fluent in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- E-commerce industry experience, or TMT/start-up experience
- Full view of Finance processes and full Profit & Loss (P&L) management experience.
