We're looking for a strategic and commercially minded

Finance Business Partner

to act as a key advisor across Octavia's Assets, Repairs, and Building Safety functions. In this pivotal role, you'll build strong relationships with senior leaders and budget holders, providing insightful financial analysis, value-for-money guidance, and robust decision support. As a trusted partner, you'll play a crucial role in driving financial performance and supporting long-term planning across Octavia and the wider Abri Group.

Key Responsibilities







Lead the finance business partnering across assets, repairs and building safety Take ownership for the budgeting and forecasting cycle for key spend areas including asset management, repairs, building safety and property sales Deliver analysis to help drive strategic and operational decision making with a focus on achieving Value for Money Help maintain a strong, and operationally suitable, set of financial controls and instil a culture of compliance and control as part of the wider finance team. Provide a user-friendly, customer-focused and reliable service at all times, consistently demonstrating a positive, 'can-do' attitude Fully embrace a Group matrix management structure with a culture of collaborative working and continuous improvement Work collaboratively with other members of the Finance team to achieve the overall aims of the directorate, ensuring workloads are covered and skills shared Provide coaching and support to junior team members




This role is hybrid with an expectation of 2 days a week in our West London office. There may be occasional travel to our Abri offices in Bracknell and Eastleigh.

Knowledge & Experience



Social Housing sector experience, or a strong ability to adapt to a complex and regulated sector at pace Proven experience of delivering a high-quality finance business partnering function Strong communication skills, with a demonstrable ability to convey complex accounting concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-finance personnel Strong analytical skills with ability to add value and deliver high quality reporting Experience of leading the budgeting and forecasting process Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Qualifications / Skills



Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA), or part qualified with extensive experience of partnering repairs, assets and building safety within the social housing sector

Benefits




The salary for this role is 63,240 per annum with up to 10% pension contribution.
