What we're looking for





We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join NCUK as a Finance Business Partner. This role will work closely with the Head of Finance and wider finance team to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, as well as supporting core financial processes and adherence to key financial controls.



The post holder will be a trusted business advisor to the Senior Leadership Team, providing quality management information to understand performance against the strategic plan and support decision making. They will help drive the annual budget and quarterly forecast cycles, building strong working relationships and providing challenge.





The successful candidate will proactively engage with a continuous improvement agenda, unlocking the potential in technology to support financial processes and analysis. They will play a key role in the annual statutory audit for both the company and parent charity and will support in compliance with fiscal reporting requirements.

What will you do?





This role will be responsible for providing ad hoc analysis for new business opportunities, developing models to ensure appropriate product costing methodology and profitability. You will need to provide high-quality management information, to measure performance and ensure all business decisions are taken using sound financial information and analysis.





You will work with the wider team to ensure accurate, timely customer billing and invoice processing and ensure effective financial management by undertaking timely month end procedures including journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis. The post-holder will harness the technology available to develop financial dashboards and unlock new levels of efficiency and effectiveness in the processes and systems.

To thrive in this role, the ideal candidate will have:


A relevant Accounting Qualification Evidence of the ability to operate in a dynamic / changeable environment and manage competing priorities Advanced Excel skills Excellent communication skills (oral and written), with the ability to convey complex or technical information to non-financial stakeholders
