Job Description

The Finance Business Partner will play a critical role in providing financial insights and support to drive strategic decision-making within the FMCG industry. This position will help to develop financial understanding by delivering actionable financial insight and analysis to support performance, drive efficiency and target delivery.

• Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business planning and forecasting processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost optimisation and efficiency improvements.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models to assess business performance and profitability.
• Support budgeting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organisational goals.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Assist in preparing reports for senior management to guide strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
• Act as a trusted advisor to various teams within the organisation on financial matters.

• CIMA or ACCA qualified accountant with 3+ years' experience in the finance function.
• Experience of preparing and delivering information to operational colleagues in a medium sized manufacturing or FMCG business.
• An organised, self-starter with an overview of deliverables and a track record of timely delivery.
• Curious, positive and proactive. A problem-solving mindset with a strong eye for detail.
• Enjoys collaborating with non-financial colleagues to share information and identify improvements supporting delivery of financial and operational KPIs.
• Has worked cross functionally, navigating both formal and informal reporting lines to deliver tangible results on process and improvement projects.
• Willing to question established business practices and seek better ways of working. Shares with others to find the best outcome. Not scared to ask questions to develop their business knowledge.
• Applies a continuous improvement mindset to all aspects of the scope and responsibilities of the role. Actively flags opportunities to streamline and standardise.
• A team player, who works closely with others to deliver on the team's objectives. Flexible and willing to work outside of the boundaries of their regular role to develop their career.
