Finance Business Partner, Mon to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm, reporting to Financial Controller (team of 4)
THE POSITION
Primary Function
To support the Budget and Forecast processes for the sales, marketing and supply chain teams
Key business partner to the sales team, tracking sales performance and margins against budget and forecasts and prior year. Manage customer P&Ls, collaborating with Sales and Marketing to ensure delivery of financial goals and objectives
Support the marketing team on analysis of brand investment, ensuring ROI is in-line with business requirements, and where ROI isn't at required levels, options for improvement are discussed
To identify improvement opportunities in Working Capital across the commercial teams and supply chain
Ownership for the financial modelling of Customer JBP agreements where necessary, ensuring they are structured to deliver future profitable growth?.
Highlight future performance risks and opportunities, proactively planning any commercial remediation that may be necessary to close performance gaps to target
Be the conduit between the sales and planning team, challenge sales forecasts where necessary and find ways to improve the demand forecasting process
Work closely with the Head of Sales to implement revenue management levers to optimise pricing and promotional effectiveness across all channels
Create and own the period-end monthly reporting deck for the commercial teams which is reviewed by the SLT Team
Support prior year trade and marketing accrual reviews and control
Actively participate in execution of the CPI strategy, from creation through to post implementation tracking?
Facilitate review sessions with senior supply chain stakeholders, driving discussion on performance, risks, and opportunities across the supply chain
Manage the set up and input of all costings across the business
Work closely with the procurement team, to identify opportunities for cost savings and working capital improvements
Lead ad-hoc initiatives involving both finance and operational teams, ensuring delivery of project objectives, timelines, and financial impact
Maintain a strong control and governance environment, ensuring all processes and outputs are free from material error and in-line with accounting principles on revenue recognition and marketing spend
Champion process improvements, identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance outputs from the UK Commercial Finance team.
