We are a leading chilled food company with a turnover of approximately 350 million and a workforce of around 2,200 employees. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Operations Business Partner to join our manufacturing site leadership team in Wrexham and Flint (based in Wrexham). This role will be integral to our financial operations and site leadership activities.

Job Purpose



The Finance Operations Business Partner will be responsible for all required accounting functions and will support the site in leadership activities. The main financial areas of focus will include costings, production variances, site overheads, inventory, capital investments, planning cycles, budget & strategy and other ad-hoc finance activities as required.

Key Responsibilities



Financial Management: Oversee all accounting functions for the manufacturing sites, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Costings and Production Variances: Analyse and manage costings and production variances to support efficient manufacturing operations. Site Overheads: Monitor and control site overheads to ensure cost-effective operations. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory management processes to optimise stock levels and reduce wastage. Capital Management: Manage capital expenditure and ensure effective utilization of resources. Planning Cycles: Lead financial planning cycles, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning. Leadership Support: Act as a key member of the site leadership team, providing financial insights and support for strategic decision-making. Collaboration: Work closely with site managers, production teams, and other stakeholders to gather necessary financial inputs and provide challenge where appropriate. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in financial management. Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and Group, highlighting key insights and recommendations.

Qualifications and Experience



Qualified (CIMA / ACCA) Proven experience in financial management, in a food manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong organizational and leadership abilities. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to build cross functional relationships and communicate effectively with non-finance colleagues Proficiency in financial software and systems.
