We're excited to be recruiting for a Finance Ledger Clerk to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and detail-focused finance professional, perfect for someone passionate about maintaining accurate financial records and supporting efficient ledger operations within a fast-paced environment.
You'll be responsible for accurately recording and processing sales and purchase ledger transactions on a timely basis, ensuring strong financial controls, minimal outstanding balances and effective stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the accounts receivable ledger and ensure accurate input of receivables and supplier invoices

• Process supplier invoices in a timely manner and complete supplier statement reconciliations

• Manage supplier queries via the accounts payable inbox and liaise with internal and external stakeholders where required

• Process customer receipts, credit note matching, customer deductions and sundry invoices

• Monitor and minimise outstanding debt and credit balances

• Process new customer and supplier details and maintain accurate record changes with appropriate verification

• Keep up to date with fraud controls and ensure ledger and payment processes remain compliant

• Provide cover for weekly payment runs and ensure accurate and timely postings

• Support monthly purchase ledger close and weekly KPI reporting

• Assist with system testing, process improvements and ad hoc finance tasks as required

About you

• Strong communication skills

• Excellent organisation and planning skills

• High attention to detail with a strong focus on accuracy and process

• Positive approach to work and problem solving

• Good Excel skills

• Previous purchase ledger experience desirable but not essential
