Role overview:
native are seeking a Finance Controller to join our dynamic team and lead the build of our finance function. This is a critical role at native, as we are introducing finance processes and strategies to support our continued growth and success. As the Commercial Finance Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of our company and ensuring our financial operations are efficient, effective, and aligned with our strategic goals lining directly into our CFO.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy that aligns with the company's long-term objectives. This includes financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation.

  • Financial Reporting: Work with our external finance partners to present accurate and timely financial reports to senior management and key stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for decision-making.
  • Cash Flow Management: Work with our external finance partners to monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure the company's financial stability. Manage working capital effectively and optimise cash reserves.
  • Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements. Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Financial Modelling: Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate the financial impact of various commercial initiatives, including pricing strategies, product launches, and market expansion.
Profitability Analysis: Analyse the profitability of products, customers, and market segments, and provide recommendations for optimising profitability.
  • Investor Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for investors and assist in fundraising efforts, including preparing investor materials and financial projections.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, including currency, interest rate, and market risks, and develop strategies to protect the company's financial interests.
  • Vendor and Partner Management: Manage relationships with financial institutions, external auditors, and other financial service providers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a finance leader, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and financial modelling.
  • Experience in building and leading finance teams.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • High level of integrity and ethical standards.
