The Role







We are looking to recruit a Finance Data Reporting Lead to join us on a 12 month Fixed-Term Contract.




Key Accountabilities






Lead a team of Data and Analytics Engineers to build a reporting capability on Aspen's Data Warehouse (iHUB), transferring the existing legacy reporting onto the new platform as part of a wider technology strategy across Aspen's technology estate Lead the strategic development and delivery of Finance's reporting transformation, in alignment with the evolving systems architecture. This includes developing a streamlined, controlled and scalable approach to the creation and maintenance of key financial reports and decommissioning of legacy reporting Design, establish, and lead a Finance Reporting Centre of Excellence, setting best practices and governance for high-quality reporting Partner with key stakeholders in Finance to shape and evolve the Finance analytics strategy, enhancing data-driven decision-making Work closely with the Finance Systems team, to ensure the definition and delivery of data structures within finance systems enables efficient and effective finance reporting processes Work closely with the Data Governance Lead and the Finance Data Lead to define and monitor data quality metrics; lead remediation initiatives to address data quality issues across Finance, which impact reporting quality Collaborate with data product owners across functions to ensure Finance data requirements are fully integrated into the broader enterprise data landscape

Knowledge, Skills, & Experience






Extensive general experience in insurance industry involving data/analysis/systems/reporting/projects Experience of working in a Risk related functional team within a multi-national insurance environment Expert knowledge of the financial services industry best practice and Finance analysis Expert knowledge of data manipulation and data analytics Develop a strong working knowledge of company systems and how technology can be leveraged to improve performance Lead and manage through a team of senior professionals across a large and diverse entity Ability to lead the development of strategy for the business Negotiate, persuade and influence both directly and indirectly Strong reasoning capabilities - creative and lateral thinking, with strong problem-solving-skills Conceptualise and lead others in their use for solving specific problems Excellent in the use and interpretation of numerical data
