Finance Director

Simply UK designs, builds then operates luxury nursing care homes across the United Kingdom. We have 20 homes in operation, spanning from Inverness to Exeter.

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced accountant to join Simply UK as Finance Director, based at Bellshill, Strathclyde Business Park.

This senior role will provide financial leadership, analysis of new and existing business, reporting on financial performance of each part of the group on a monthly basis.

The role will lead the finance team, support their development and direct work undertaken by the seven staff within it.

The Finance Director will have responsibility for areas as below:

Key responsibilities:

Financial management of the Group, including the provision of robust and meaningful financial information to the Board Analysis of new business opportunities, advising on commercial contracts and pricing. Management of cash, working capital requirements and cash flow forecasting Management of debtors including collection of debt and dispute resolution Presentation of high-quality management accounts and other management information on a monthly and ad hoc basis as required Leading the annual Budget process with quarterly forecast updates to support, short and medium and long-term objectives Analysis and monitoring of all major capital expenditure Maintaining a rolling 3-year business plan in accordance with the policy objectives set by the Leadership Team Leading, managing and developing the finance and administration function Preparation of annual Financial Statements for audit purposes Oversight and development of robust financial controls and processes All aspects of banking and managing the relationship with the bank Corporation Tax calculations and planning for all Group Companies. Overseeing VAT and payroll compliance Maintenance and development of finance and accounting systems as well as other business critical systems The delivery of ad hoc projects, both financial and operational

Essential Requirements:

Qualified Accountant (ACCA or Equal) Senior finance leadership within a large-growth, multi company and reporting business Strong commercial expertise

Ideally experience in the private health care sector
The Finance Director will demonstrate the professional skills and behaviours you would expect from the role.

The role requires attendance in the office Monday to Friday (0800 to 1700 Hrs).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 70,000.00-100,000.00 per year
