The brief

As Finance Director you'll own the full finance agenda; strategy, control and performance, while advising the CEO/Board and leading a capable team (Management Accountant, Finance Manager, Purchase Ledger, Credit Control and Finance Admin). This role is ideal for a high-potential leader

stepping up to their first FD

seat or a

Head of/No.2 ready for a bigger FD remit

What you'll lead

Set finance & accounting strategy; act as CEO/Board adviser and business partner. Full ownership of financial control, reporting and compliance (statutory, audit, tax). Robust budgeting/forecasting, FP&A, KPIs and decision support across the business. Working capital, cashflow and revenue management (pricing/margin, profitability). Continuous improvement of processes, controls and ERP/CRM usage. Team leadership: objectives, development and high-standards culture. Corporate finance activity as required (capex cases, debt, disposals/acquisitions). Build strong external relationships (banks, advisors, auditors).

About you

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA); strong post-qualification experience. Product-environment background (e.g.,

retail, distribution, manufacturing

). Proven people leader; hands-on, commercially sharp, calm under pace. Excellent FP&A, cash and controls; confident with ERP/CRM and Excel. Comfortable challenging assumptions and driving change with integrity.
