Lead and professionalise the UK finance function of a PE-backed, multi-site B2B Public Safety services group (~15m UK). You'll oversee finance across 6-7 UK businesses (each with their own finance teams) and guide the transition toward a more centralised model. Key focus areas: monthly reporting integrity, cash discipline, budgeting/forecasting, audit readiness, banking relationships, and integration/M&A support.
Be the catalyst for the next chapter. Lead the shift from siloed to centralised finance, tighten cashflow visibility, standardise reporting, and equip leaders with real-time insight. PE pace, multi-site scope, and a team ready to level up. Build the system, then scale it.
Key responsibilities
Own monthly accounts, management reporting and KPI/variance analysis; drive actionable financial insight.
Lead and develop a team of ~6 finance managers; set standards, cadence and governance.
Establish robust controls, risk management and cash-flow/run-rate visibility; manage working capital tightly.
Coordinate budgets and forecasts across UK entities; consolidate and challenge assumptions.
Oversee statutory compliance (company secretarial, audit, tax via advisors) and year-end.
Manage external relationships (banks, auditors, advisors); ensure covenant and reporting discipline.
Support M&A due diligence and post-deal integration; progressively centralise finance processes and systems.
Standardise policies, close timetables, and reporting packs aligned to PE/Board expectations.
