Job Summary



As Finance Director, you will play a critical role in shaping Kara Healthcare's financial strategy, ensuring robust financial management, and supporting key business decisions through data-driven insights. Duties



Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes Provide strategic recommendations to the CEO and senior leadership team Oversee financial reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards Manage cash flow, investment planning, and risk management Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence Collaborate across departments to support operational efficiency and growth initiatives Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, including the preparation and interpretation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards. Lead risk management initiatives, conducting thorough risk analysis to mitigate potential financial risks. Supervise treasury management activities, ensuring effective investment management and compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. Direct cost accounting efforts, including cost control measures and profit & loss analysis to optimise financial performance. Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic planning initiatives, providing insights on financial concepts that impact business development. Ensure accuracy in accounts payable and receivable processes, general ledger accounting, and balance sheet reconciliation. Foster a culture of continuous improvement in financial practices through effective leadership and mentorship of finance team members.

Requirements



ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) Proven experience in a Finance Director role, ideally within healthcare or a regulated industry Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable working in a growing and evolving business Strong knowledge of financial systems, processes, and regulatory requirements Extensive experience in corporate finance, fiscal management, and financial services. Proficiency in IAS, ASC 606, Xero, risk management techniques, and governmental accounting principles. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform financial analysis and account reconciliation effectively. Demonstrated expertise in financial report writing and interpretation for various stakeholders. Familiarity with financial software systems that enhance efficiency in bookkeeping and general ledger reconciliation. Proven track record in strategic planning and investment management within a non-profit or governmental context. Strong communication skills to convey complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
