Position Overview:



We are looking for a Finance Director to join our business in London. You will be part of our Finance leadership team and will report into our Chief Financial Officer (CFO).


This is a rare opportunity where you will oversee all financial functions, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management, to ensure the business remains financially sound and agile.


You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations to drive strategic initiatives and financial performance. Our business is fortunate enough to be part of a larger Norther European business and therefore the role requires both upward reporting into Group and also reporting into local UK management.


You will also be responsible for ensuring the stability and growth of our financial reporting as we transition towards a stronger control environment following a recent accelerated growth phase.

Responsibilities:



Some of your day-to-day remit will include:

Financial Strategy and Leadership:

Implement financial strategies that align with corporate goals. Provide strategic recommendations to the CFO and senior management team. Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
Financial Management:

Oversee all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
Risk Management:

Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies. Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Team Management:

Build and lead a high-performing finance team. Mentor staff and foster professional development.
Stakeholder Management:

Communicate financial performance and strategy to stakeholders. Collaborate with and provide excellent business partnering with other departments to support strategic initiatives.
Operational Efficiency:

Streamline financial processes and systems for improved efficiency. Utilise technology to enhance financial reporting and analysis.

Qualifications & Experience:




The right candidate for this role will have:



Demonstrable experience as a qualified accountant. Proven experience as a senior finance professional in a fast growing organisation. In-depth knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrable experience in improving reporting efficiency, driving automation, accelerating timelines and improving control environment. The capability to translate complex financial data and concepts to non-finance stakeholders. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team. A team player with strong business acumen and work ethic.
Desirable criteria include:Past experience of working in a private equity environment. Experience of Cognos and VENA management software. A track record of working in acquisitive environments. Experience of working in a listed or larger corporate environment.

The budgeted salary for this role is between

100,000 and 150,000 per year

, depending on experience.

Hybrid working:
