The Role:





We're seeking a commercially astute Finance Director to oversee the strategic financial direction of the business. You'll ensure that financial strategies support the broader corporate aims of the Group and drive sustainable growth by ensuring robust financial health.



As Finance Director you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the finance and treasury teams, whilst supporting company-wide decisioning making and innovation. You'll ensure the integrity of financial and management information and that controls and systems of risk management are robust and defensible.



The successful candidate will demonstrably be a team player with a can-do attitude and the ability to work across all aspects of the business.

Key Responsibilities



Strategic Financial Leadership





Work closely with the CEO and executive team. Develop and lead financial strategy across the group. Drive performance within the internal finance function, including team development and systems implementation. Advise senior leadership and the board with financial insights, planning, and modelling. Ensuring that information relating to operational performance across the Group is relevant and appropriate to enable business decision-making, and that it is delivered in a timely manner to relevant stakeholders. Drive efficiency and profitability through continuous financial performance analysis. Constructively challenge and contribute to the development of corporate strategy, assisting the Board to arrive at balanced and objective decisions. Ensure that the objectives of the Group, as agreed by the Board, are fully and properly carried out.

Financial Reporting & Compliance





Managing the firm's internal stress-tests and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of information provided to the FCA for the purposes of stress-testing. Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Ensure that all financial reports are reviewed, information is fairly presented and any material changes in internal accounting controls are reported to the Board. Responsibility for ensuring the development, maintenance and delivery of relevant management information relating to all operational performance. Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures. To ensure that all statutory requirements of each Group company is met. Coordinate with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams during audits and reviews.

Treasury & Capital Management





Responsibility for ensuring that the business is able to access adequate resources in order to meet its financial and regulatory obligations. Manage cash flow, capital allocation, funding strategies, and liquidity requirements. Maintain relationships with investors, banks, and financial institutions to support funding needs. Lead both public and private securitisations.

Risk Management





Assess and mitigate financial, credit, and operational risks across the business. Ensure internal controls are in place and effective to prevent fraud and ensure financial integrity.

Team Leadership





Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team. Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement. Adhere at all times to the FCA's Individual and Senior Managers Conduct Rules.

Qualifications (minimum):





Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Experience in senior finance roles, ideally within legal, financial services, or insurance. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Experience implementing and managing robust FMA systems. A commercial, strategic mindset with strong problem-solving skills. Experience of securitisation. Advanced Excel and financial management software proficiency.
