We are a fast-growing, UK-headquartered technology consultancy delivering high-impact digital transformation, cloud, and software engineering solutions to clients. With operations in the UK, Poland, and Canada, we are entering a new phase of strategic growth. To support this, we are seeking a commercially minded Finance Director to lead our finance function and help steer the company through continued expansion, both in the UK and internationally.

Role Overview



The Finance Director will serve as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for driving financial strategy, performance, and governance across the group. This is a hands-on and strategic leadership role, overseeing all aspects of the UK finance function and providing financial oversight of our international subsidiaries in Poland and Canada. The successful candidate will play a vital role in enabling scalable growth, improving financial controls, and contributing to the company's long-term strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities



Strategic Financial Leadership:

Partner with the CEO and executive team to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning. Drive financial forecasting, scenario planning, and growth modelling across the group. Advise on international expansion and commercial risk. Develop and oversee the company's foreign exchange strategy to optimise financial outcomes and manage currency risks.

Financial Management & Reporting:

Oversee end-to-end finance operations including budgeting, management accounts, management reporting, audit, and tax. Accountable for the preparation of financial statements in all jurisdictions working alongside external accountants/ auditors. Consolidate financial reporting across the UK, Poland, and Canada, ensuring accurate group-level financial visibility. Develop and track financial KPIs, margin analysis, and cash flow forecasting.

International Subsidiary Oversight:

Provide financial oversight and control for subsidiaries in Poland and Canada, including overseeing reporting, compliance, intercompany transactions, and local statutory requirements. Work with local finance resources and external advisors to ensure regulatory and tax compliance in each jurisdiction. Align international financial operations with overall group policies and strategic objectives.

Commercial & Operational Finance:

Lead the management of the company's salary framework, including overseeing the annual salary review process, determining salary adjustments and bonuses, and communicating decisions and underlying rationale effectively to relevant employees. Support on the commercial aspect of tenders and bids, contract negotiation, and revenue forecasting. Review, negotiate, and approve customer Master Services Agreements and Statements of Work, ensuring alignment with commercial and financial objectives. Implement controls and reporting systems for project profitability and utilisation rates. Lead on finance aspects of new client deals and contract renewals.

Team Leadership:

Proven ability to lead and manage a diverse team, lead and develop the UK- based finance team and coordinate with international finance contacts or outsourced providers. Foster a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement across the growing finance function.

Essential Skills & Experience:



Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Proven experience as a Finance Director or senior finance leader in a scaling business previously. Excellent command of group consolidation, intercompany accounting, and tax planning. Commercially savvy, with a strong grasp of project-based revenue models and consultancy business drivers. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable:



Strong understanding of financial operations in an international group structure, with hands-on experience overseeing foreign subsidiaries or multi-currency operations. In particular, experience managing finance across European and North American jurisdictions, including Polish and Canadian compliance contexts. Experience with business systems implementation and/or finance digitalisation within businesses previously. Experience working in a technology and/or consultancy business environment previously.

Pay: 70,000.00-90,000.00 per year
