Workwear Uniform Group Ltd (WWUGL) is a leader in the sourcing, design, manufacture and distribution of technical workwear, PPE and bespoke corporate uniforms.

This enables us to offer cradle-to-grave solutions to household brands spanning construction, healthcare, rail, logistics, banking, retail, tourism and more.

You'll play a central role in driving the growth of two of the Group's key brands: Direct Corporate Clothing (off-the-shelf PPE and workwear contract specialists) and Incorporatewear (bespoke corporate uniform specialists).

You'll also help establish WWUGL as a renowned brand in and of itself.

Job Purpose



The Finance Director will provide strategic and operational leadership across UK and offshore finance functions, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving financial performance. This role is accountable for shaping and executing the financial strategy, overseeing planning, reporting, compliance, and risk management, while supporting sustainable growth. As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Finance Director will foster collaboration across departments, lead process and systems improvements, and act as a trusted advisor on commercial, investment, and expansion activities.

Responsibilities



Lead and develop the UK and offshore finance teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and high performance across locations. Design and implement the financial strategy to support sustainable growth and profitability. Work as an integral member of the Senior Leadership Team, fostering strong cross-departmental collaboration (e.g. sales, operations, customer service, IT). Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Drive process efficiencies, particularly those impacting customers, improving transparency, accuracy, and service levels. Oversee the use and optimisation of finance systems (e.g. Navision) and other business tools, ensuring data integrity and enabling real-time insights. Manage cash flow, working capital, tax, treasury, and risk. Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and governance requirements. Build and maintain relationships with auditors, banks, investors, and other external stakeholders. Lead and support systems and process improvement initiatives across the business. Advise on and support potential M&A, investment, and expansion activities.

Requirements



Extensive senior finance leadership experience, ideally in fast-paced or technology-driven environments. Experience managing offshore or remote finance teams. Strong track record in financial strategy development and execution. Proven experience driving cross-functional collaboration and influencing at senior levels. Commercially savvy with a focus on customer-centric process improvements. Experience with Navision (or similar ERP/finance systems) and business intelligence tools. Strong understanding of financial controls, reporting, tax, and compliance requirements. Proactive, results-driven, and hands-on. Collaborative leader who builds strong relationships across teams. High integrity and professionalism. Excellent communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Adaptable, resilient, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
