Position Overview




We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Invoicing Employee to join our team. This role will be responsible for preparing, generating, and reconciling transport-related invoices in line with contracts, tariffs, and service agreements. The successful candidate will ensure invoices are accurate, compliant, and delivered within deadlines, while supporting financial reporting, internal audits, and process improvements.


Key Responsibilities




Prepare and generate transport-related invoices in accordance with contracts, tariffs, and service agreements, within agreed deadlines. Verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance of all invoices against financial and operational data. Reconcile invoice data with transport logs, job sheets, and booking systems. Assist with month-end reporting, including preparation of invoice summaries for management. Provide support for internal audits and compliance checks, ensuring invoice and transport records are readily available. Act as the first point of contact for invoice-related queries from clients and transport providers. Liaise with the operations and transport teams to resolve discrepancies or clarify missing data. Identify and escalate recurring issues or inefficiencies in invoicing processes. Support initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce invoice errors, and enhance turnaround times. Contribute to the development and use of digital tools or templates to streamline invoicing processes.

Skills & Competencies




Excel Proficiency

: Confident in using Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and logical problem-solving for financial calculations.

Accuracy & Attention to Detail

: Strong focus on data integrity and error-free reporting.

Organizational Skills

: Ability to manage multiple tasks, files, and streams of information simultaneously.

IT Proficiency

: Competent in the use of standard office software packages; experience with Tableau or similar data analysis tools is an advantage.

Problem-Solving

: Logical and methodical approach to identifying and resolving data or process-related issues.

Communication

: Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across finance, operations, and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience




Previous experience in finance, invoicing, or transport/logistics administration (preferred). Understanding of invoicing processes, transport operations, or service contracts (desirable). Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting processes (an advantage).
