About the Role
Our Finance team is small but mighty, with varied experience and a real enthusiasm for their work. They handle everything from financial planning through to account management and everything in between. Our new
Finance Lead
will play a pivotal role in shaping both operational and strategic initiatives, including reviewing systems and processes to drive efficiencies and continuously improve our customer, employee, and stakeholder experience.
We're looking for someone who can provide strategic guidance while challenging the status quo to enable our business to thrive and grow. Success in this role will come from combining strong financial leadership with a collaborative approach, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness, embracing technology and automation, and fostering cross-functional partnerships. You'll also champion governance and ethical standards, support talent development within the team, and bring agility to scenario planning so we can respond confidently to market changes.
What the Finance Lead will do:
Strategic:
Partnering with the Board of Directors and MD to develop and deliver a financial strategy aligned to the Company's 5-year-plan
Provide financial and business leadership to shape performance, investment and decision making
Leading thoroughly researched initiatives to minimise financial risk and improve internal processe
Control and manage the company budget in close collaboration with MD and Board
Analysing market trends and global financial climate to create future strategic plans
Operational:
Supervising, Developing and Leading a high-performing finance team
Ensuring financial practices adhere to statutory regulations and legislation
Liaising with accountants/auditors for year-end accounts
Preparing financial reports on a monthly and yearly basis
Provide accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting, analysis and commentary
Interpreting complex financial data and providing updates as required
Nurturing and maintaining good relationships with contractors, clients and third parties
Operational relationship management for smooth transactions.
Support the Directors on finance agreements, leases etc as and when necessary

Proven experience in a senior finance role within a dynamic business environment.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge of UK financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Tech-savvy mindset with experience in financial systems and process improvement.

Pay: From 55,000.00 per year
