Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Financial Accountant to join our team at Manchester University Foundation Trust. Based in Manchester, this role is vital in managing financial records and ensuring compliance with NHS standards, contributing to our mission of supporting healthcare professionals and the NHS Trusts.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyse financial statements in accordance with NHS and industry standards. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes efficiently. Oversee financial reporting and ensure accuracy of data. Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes. Ensure compliance with NHS policies and regulatory requirements. Assist in audits and internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.

Qualifications

Proven experience in financial accounting within healthcare or similar sectors. Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft. Strong understanding of NHS financial procedures and regulations. Excellent analytical and organizational skills. Ability to mentor junior team members. Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Professional certification such as ACCA or CIMA is preferred.

Pay: 25.71-29.91 per hour
