Finance Manager

based at our Head Office in Alfreton, Derbyshire.


This role forms part of the Finance Team with overall responsibility of the global Treasury, Accounts Payable & Credit Control activities. You will ensure that key month end and day to day activities are completed in a robust and timely manner, ensuring effective treasury and cash flow management. As well as managing direct reports, this role is integral in supporting the wider business in all areas of operational finance as well as integration of international subsidiaries to drive business process improvements and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities of Finance Manager (including but not limited to):



Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the finance function in respect of the purchase ledger, payments and treasury function including approval of all payments through HSBC and International banks The monitoring and controlling of cash flow and oversight of rolling cashflow forecasts ensuring effective working capital management Management and admin control of MEO expenses, HSBC and Amex credit cards and all credit limits Management and admin control of Paypal and Adyen online and shop payments and full analysis on a weekly basis of expenditure Ensure accurate, timely and compliant management of all accounting transactions Support with managing the foreign currency exposure and funding through day-to-day decision making, support the forecasting and FX hedging including GBP & USD cover analysis Take ownership and deliver continuous improvement of all transactional and key finance processes for the UK and overseas subsidiaries Management of credit limits and credit insurance, working with the Credit Control team Challenge current processes and demonstrate a capacity to suggest improved and streamlined ways of working whilst managing stakeholder expectations Management, development, mentoring and support of the transactional finance team Involvement within the month end process to close ledgers within working day 3 as well as completing balance sheet reconciliations for the balances which the transactions team are responsible for Supporting with the year end audit especially around the completion of audit samples Provide support to the Group Financial Controller as required

Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or qualified by experience Previous experience in a similar role including cashflow management & reporting Experience of managing and developing a transactional finance team Experience of foreign subsidiaries and exposure to USD and EUR hedging Ability to prioritise tasks and manage in a high-pressure environment Strong MS Office experience and knowledge including intermediate/advanced Excel A positive 'can do' attitude to establish key relationships with all stakeholders

Experience of using Business Central/NAV Experience of working multi-site in high volume/transactional finance function
