OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the
Finance Manager
will lead on month-end, management reporting, and financial controls, while also engaging with operational managers to provide insight and drive performance. This role combines technical accounting with business partnering, making it an ideal step for someone looking to broaden their skillset in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivery of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
Preparing and reviewing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
Partnering with operational leaders to understand financial performance and drive improvements
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies, and controls
Supporting year-end processes, including audit and statutory reporting
Driving process improvement and supporting the rollout of new systems and reporting tools
Leading and mentoring a small finance team
PERSON
You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical and interpersonal skills. This role would suit someone who enjoys a balance between detailed financial control and commercial engagement.
You'll likely bring:
Strong experience in management reporting, controls, and budgeting
Exposure to working in a large, service or logistics-based environment (desirable but not essential)
The ability to engage with senior leaders and non-finance colleagues
A continuous improvement mindset and comfort working in a fast-moving organisation
Team management or mentoring experience
