Your Role
This is an autonomous role, based in our Ballymena Head Office. In this role you will be coordinating and managing our company's financial operations and responsible for coordinating our regulatory reporting processes.
You will be responsible for budget planning and supporting the CEO and senior management team in making the best possible business decisions for our business.
Your Team
You'll be the centre of the finance operations with administrative support and will report to the CEO.
Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions
Finance & Bookkeeping - Cash transactions & banking, Accounts Payable & Receivable, Baking & Reconciliation
Experience of EDI Uploads, Processing Central Billing Remittances (High Volume Transactions)
Preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting to management and stakeholders.
Leading the relationship between our business and external agents/ auditors inclusive of liaising with external accountants with the year-end accounts' preparation
Managing (with support from external accountant) VAT returns and all taxation matters and declarations
Assisting with ad-hoc analysis / one-off projects
Adhering to financial regulations and legislation
Preparing budget forecasts
Maintaining a control environment (monthly balance sheet, credit control, reconciliations, P&L reviews)
Monitoring internal financial control
Establishing and maintaining financial policies and procedures for the company
About You
Your Experience
4+ years' experience in a similar role
Experience of bookkeeping software, specifically Sage200
Experience of EDI uploads, ideally within food retail with customers such as Henderson's, Musgrave etc.
Sound technical and practical knowledge of accounting and regulatory reporting requirements
Qualified to degree level, preferably in a business or finance discipline
Membership of a recognised professional accountancy body i.e. CIA, ACCA.
Desired
Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant
This is a full-time permanent position working 40 hours per week.
Flexibility is required with regards to hours of work.
