Robert Half are pleased to be partnering with an SME based in Banbury to recruit a Finance Manager. The Finance Manager will receive a salary of up to 60,000 including other attractive benefits.
This is a varied role that would suit a commercially minded individual. Data manipulation experience is important to hit the ground running.
Primary responsibilities;

• Prepare and oversee budgets, forecasts and financial plans aligned with company objectives
• Develop and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to the senior management team.
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets and cash flow forecasts.
• Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable and general ledger functions.
• Ensure compliance with UK financial regulations, tax requirements and company policies.
• Maintain and optimise the Sage system for accounting, payroll and financial reporting.
• Process monthly Payroll
• Monitor and manage company expenditures to align with budgets and financial goals.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality or operations.
• Conduct regular financial audits to ensure efficiency and compliance
• Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering professional growth and a collaborative environment.
• Manage recruitment, training and performance evaluations for finance staff.
• Provide insight into the financial impact of business initiatives and decisions.
• Work closely with operational teams to align financial goals with business strategies.
• Collaborate with external auditors, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure accurate and transparent reporting

Key experience and attributes;

• Qualified Accountant or QBE (Qualified by Experience)
• Proven experience in financial management
• In-depth knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax legislation and regulatory compliance.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
