Robert Half is partnering with a leading investment and infrastructure management firm to recruit a Finance Manager - an ideal opportunity for auditors from Big 4 or Top 10 firms looking to step into industry without losing technical challenge or career momentum.
This is a genuinely high-impact role within a purpose-driven organisation delivering long-term value across transport, energy, health, and social infrastructure. You'll move beyond testing controls and reviewing numbers to owning the financial story and influencing real-world investment decisions.

The Role
Financial Reporting & Group Control
Own monthly and quarterly close across a diverse portfolio of entities
Prepare and review management accounts, including variance analysis and commercial commentary
Lead statutory accounts, consolidations, VAT returns, and intercompany processes
Maintain key balance sheet areas including accruals, prepayments, and loan schedules
Strategic Exposure & Stakeholder Influence
Produce high-quality performance reporting using Power BI and advanced Excel
Present financial insights directly to shareholders and project boards
Partner with operational and technical teams to support investment and project decisions
Governance, Risk & External Relationships
Ensure compliance with UK GAAP and jurisdictional reporting requirements
Act as the key contact for external auditors and tax advisers
Monitor loan covenants and funding facility deliverables
Process Improvement & Transformation
Strengthen internal controls and contribute to finance transformation projects
Improve reporting processes through automation and system enhancements
About You
This role suits someone currently in Audit or Accounting Advisory who is ready to move closer to commercial decision-making:
ACA / CA / ACCA qualified (or finalist with strong experience)
Strong grounding in financial reporting, group structures, and controls
Confident working with senior stakeholders and explaining financial information clearly
Advanced Excel skills; Power BI or data analytics experience beneficial
Experience in asset management or infrastructure is not essential - this role provides a pathway into the sector.
