We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented
Finance Manager
to oversee day-to-day financial operations across our property portfolio. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial management, timely reporting, and effective control of income and expenditure, particularly relating to rental and service charge operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Reconciliation
Complete
daily bank reconciliations
to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and allocated.
Manage
weekly payment runs
, ensuring suppliers and contractors are paid on time and in line with company policies.
Maintain and update
council tax records
for all relevant properties.
Invoicing & Income Management
Raise and issue invoices to
commercial tenants
for
Rent, Service Charge, and Insurance
.
Process
tenant recharges
for items such as lost keys, callouts, and other ad-hoc recoverable costs.
Regularly update and maintain the
rent forecast
, ensuring cash flow projections remain accurate and up to date.
Service Charge Management
Assist in the
production of Service Charge budgets
and, where applicable,
end-of-year reconciliations
and
Service Charge accounts
.
Work closely with property managers and external accountants to ensure accurate apportionment and transparency of service charge costs.
Reporting & Analysis
Produce
monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) reports
on a
site-by-site basis
, including detailed reviews of operating expenditure.
Provide analysis and commentary on key variances and assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Utilities & Contract Management
Oversee
utility contract management
, ensuring best value for money across all sites.
Maintain accurate records of supplier agreements, renewals, and consumption data.
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Proven experience in a
finance or property management accounting
role.
Strong understanding of
rent, service charge, and insurance billing
processes.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Proficient in
accounting software
(e.g., Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) and
Excel
.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desirable:
Experience with
property management systems
and
service charge accounting
.
Understanding of
commercial lease structures
and
landlord-tenant billing
processes.
Prior involvement in
utility contract management
or
budget forecasting
.
Personal Attributes
Analytical, methodical, and proactive in problem-solving.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with tenants, suppliers, and internal teams.
Self-motivated and able to work independently while maintaining strong team collaboration.
Minimum requirements:
Either Level 4 AAT Qualification as a minimum or 3 Years Finance Experience within Property/Block Management

Pay: 38,000.00-42,000.00 per year
