Baker Street Nursery and Preschool is a friendly and growing nursery group, passionate about providing high-quality care and education for young children. We're looking for a

fully qualified Finance Manager

to join us and help make sure our nurseries are run as efficiently and sustainably as possible.

This role is ideal for an experienced accountant who enjoys working with people, spotting ways to improve how things are done, and having the freedom to use their own ideas -- all within a supportive and flexible working environment.

About the Role

You'll take the lead on our finances, working closely with the Directors, our Administrator, and Nursery Managers across the group. You'll help us understand our numbers better, make smarter decisions around staffing and spending, and improve systems as the business continues to grow.

What You'll Be Doing

Looking after the overall finances for the nursery group Preparing budgets, forecasts, and regular financial reports Helping improve efficiency around staffing, occupancy, and wage costs Reviewing purchases and suppliers to make sure we're getting good value Overseeing bookkeeping, including reconciliations, cash flow, and payroll liaison Sharing financial information in a clear, practical way with non-finance colleagues Supporting Nursery Managers to feel confident with financial decisions Improving financial systems and processes as we grow
About You

We're looking for someone who's confident with numbers but also approachable and down-to-earth.

You'll need:

A full accountancy qualification

(ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Strong bookkeeping and financial management experience A practical mindset and a problem-solving approach The confidence to think for yourself and suggest improvements Good communication skills and a collaborative working style Experience in nurseries or childcare would be great, but it's not essential

Pay: 32,829.40-63,145.00 per year

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
