An outward facing role which drives value and enables the rest of the business to achieve its goals. Working with the Finance Director and Office Manager as the main operations contact within the Finance department.
Responsible for the production of weekly and month-end management reporting, as well as the day-to-day financial operations of the business, including day-to-day management of banking, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
Primary Responsibilities:
The preparation of weekly flash and monthly management information and circulation and presentation to the directors and owners, owning the numbers and investigating any anomalies.
Owning the month end process.
Management and circulation of the 13-week rolling cash flow forecast.
Providing the Finance Director with the insight that they need in a well presented, consistent and timely manner.
Supporting the Office Manager in their development in running the day-to-day financial administration of the company, as well as providing management accounts support.
Ensuring compliant with all regulatory requirements and submissions, including Beer Duty, PAYE and VAT submissions.
Providing input into the annual budget and forecasting process.
Overseeing the process for both the weekly and monthly payrolls.
Provide financial and commercial support to the directors and senior management team.
Input into the preparation and development of the financial model.
Providing insight and business planning to support capital investment decisions.
Trusted as a key contact for our relationship with bank, accountants, insurers, key suppliers and other external parties.
Other ad-hoc tasks as requested.
This role will be required to periodically attend events on behalf of the company and in doing so must behave as an ambassador of Buxton Brewery.
Requirements:
AAT qualified.
Studying towards qualification for ACA, CIMA or equivalent.
Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
A passion for the business and for leading its continued growth both locally and nationally.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Positive can-do attitude and self-motivation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment with lots of moving parts.
Knowledge of the brewing and hospitality industries, with a commitment to learn quickly if not.
