Location: Chester / Hybrid

Full Time / Part Time (60-80%)

Purpose:

The Finance Manager at iAM plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health, stability, and growth of the business. This role is responsible for delivering accurate, timely financial reporting and analysis, supporting strategic decision-making across the company. Working closely with the CFO and Executive Team, the Finance Manager will help embed robust financial processes, manage budgeting and forecasting cycles, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide insight that drives performance and operational efficiency. As iAM continues to scale and innovate in the learning and compliance technology space, this role is critical in turning financial data into action, supporting value creation, and enabling sustainable growth.

The Role



As Finance Manager at iAM Compliant, you'll be at the heart of our day-to-day finance operations--making sure everything runs smoothly, accurately, and on time. From managing accounts and payments to overseeing payroll and invoicing, you'll keep our financial engine ticking. You'll support the CFO and leadership team with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, helping turn numbers into meaningful insight. You'll handle month-end and year-end processes, make sure we stay on the right side of compliance, and respond to requests from the Board with the data they need. This role is hands-on, detail-focused, and full of variety--and you'll be key to helping us grow sustainably, with the right processes and controls in place to support our ambitious plans.

ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent qualifications.
Proven experience (3-5 years) in a similar senior finance role.
Experience in SME or SaaS environments is highly desirable.
Proficient in Xero.

What You'll Be Doing



Manage all accounting operations Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts, posting transactions and ensuring overall legal compliance Manage the payment of all external suppliers, freelancers and vendors Oversee monthly payroll and associated administration Manage the customer invoicing process and chase outstanding debt (when required) Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances - supporting the CFO and Executive Team Respond to requests from the Board and CFO to supply key financial data, reports and information as needed Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements Coordinate the preparation of regulatory (Board) reporting Research technical accounting issues for compliance Support month-end and year-end close process including any R&D claims Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls Additional controller duties as necessary
