Are you ready to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of a dynamic engineering business? Due to the expansion of our well-established finance team, Bartech Marine Engineering is seeking a talented Finance Manager. You'll be instrumental in developing and managing financial operations and strategy, leading a high-performing group, and driving continuous improvement across all financial processes.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Financial Controller to develop and execute financial strategy for Bartech and its subsidiaries.
Draft monthly management accounts and assist with company-wide budgets and rolling forecasts.
Monitor KPIs and provide insights to support informed decision-making.
Lead all financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, ledger, payroll, compliance, and SAP.
Drive process mapping and efficiency improvements, leveraging the latest software for enhanced reporting and automation.
Oversee cashflow forecasting, reporting, and planning.
Support financial year-end and audit preparation.
Mentor and develop the finance team, ensuring best practices in payroll, asset management, and reconciliations.
Collaborate with operational leaders to provide financial guidance across departments.
Qualifications
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, ideally within an SME or group structure.
Strong systems knowledge (Sage 200 and automation tools preferred).
Skilled in financial planning, reporting, and team leadership.
Experience in engineering, marine, or service-led businesses is a plus.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
