Job Purpose
We're seeking an experienced and driven Finance Manager to lead our day-to-day finance operations while supporting high-impact strategic initiatives. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to take ownership across management accounts reporting, team leadership, and business insight development.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and develop a finance team of three
, covering Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general ledger functions
Prepare and deliver
monthly management accounts
, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and insightful commentary
Conduct
payroll processing
, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and internal controls
Partner closely with the CFO to
develop financial insights
and enhance reporting capabilities across the business
Play a central role in
FP&A
activities including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Support
value creation projects
, such as process improvements, system upgrades, pricing strategies, or M&A due diligence
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies
Person Specification
Essential
ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent
Proven experience in a similar finance line management role, ideally within a fast-paced, growth-oriented business
Strong technical knowledge of management accounting, payroll, and financial controls
Confident with financial modelling and data analysis tools (mainly excel)
Exposure to supporting
strategic or value creation projects
(e.g. business case development, system implementations, operational efficiencies)
Comfort working with ERP systems (business uses Microsoft Dynamics).
Excellent communication skills and a track record of building strong relationships across all business levels
Ambitious, detail-oriented, and proactive with a passion for delivering improvement and driving value
Likes to have fun at work as this role will be based from the office in Corby
Desirable but not Essential
Experience in supporting ERP implementations or finance system upgrades
Support or leading digital transformation or automation efforts
