to recruit a

Finance Manager in Dundee.

This is a pivotal role within the finance team, providing a high-quality, comprehensive financial management accounting service across the organisation. This organisation provides essential services locally and across Scotland and is a group with a number of not-for-profit entities in addition to a commercial entity.


Working closely with the Head of Finance and a fellow Finance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and relevance of financial information, while supporting strategic decision-making and driving continuous improvement. This role blends technical financial expertise with leadership responsibility, offering the opportunity to make a real impact within a values-driven environment. You will have responsibility for a specific area of the business and finance team. The Opportunity




Key Responsibilities:


Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts, forecasts, budgets, and statutory accounts. Deliver detailed financial analysis, insight, and advice to budget holders and senior stakeholders Oversee core accounting functions, including accounts receivable and management accounts, ensuring robust controls and process improvements Prepare financial feasibility assessments for new initiatives and funding opportunities. Line manage and develop finance team members, ensuring workloads are effectively managed and objectives achieved. Present financial information to the Board and prepare reports for Committees. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, internal audit recommendations, and reporting deadlines. Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders including auditors, funding partners, and regulatory bodies. Stakeholder engagement across the organisation

The Candidate:




You will be a qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) with proven senior-level management accounting experience. You'll bring a strong track record in financial reporting, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership, coupled with the ability to challenge and influence at a senior level. Experience in the not-for-profit sector is highly desirable, but we welcome applications from all backgrounds where the right skills and values can be demonstrated.
