We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and accounting, with a proven ability to lead financial planning initiatives and ensure the effective management of financial services. This role is pivotal in driving the financial strategy of the organisation, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and optimising cost control measures.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Manage, control and develop effective accounting systems - Currently Xero & Shuttleworth & Sage Payroll.
2. Produce customer invoices and credit notes - Currently Shuttleworth & Xero.
3. Reconcile purchase orders and record supplier invoices - Currently Shuttleworth & Xero.
4. Management of sales ledger, credit control, purchase ledger, factoring, income and expenditure accounts and accounts reconciliation.
5. Run & manage payroll.
6. Update Cost Rate Manager bi annually on the MIS.
7. Manage the migration of current accounting procedures from Shuttleworth to Tharstern MIS, including the development of reports with crystal reports.
8. Develop and produce annual budgets.
9. Produce accurate financial reports to deadlines.
10. Preparation of VAT returns and all other statutory/year end returns.
11. Produce annual year end accounts.
12. Produce monthly management reports.
13. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and accounting principles.
14. Support all health and safety guidelines including the use of PPE
15. Maintain good housekeeping to minimise waste and keep all workflow areas clear
Take on any other responsibilities or tasks that are within your skills and abilities whenever reasonably asked.
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
Essential
Ability to demonstrate significant relevant experience in a similar role at a similar level.
Demonstrable experience and competence in XERO, Sage Payroll & Crystal Reporting.
Strong Excel Skills
Experience of Invoice Factoring
Someone comfortable working in a fast-paced growing company.
The ability to work on their own initiative and be a pro-active problem solver.
Excellent communications skills to liaise with directors, external accountants, customers & suppliers.
Desirable
Experience working in a similar industry in management accounting
Migration experience to MIS .net suite
