About the role





The purpose of the role is to manage the Finance Accounting team and co-ordinate the production of the annual Financial Statements within regulatory and accounting standards. This role will be a 12 month fixed term contract at one of our 3 office locations: Liverpool, Didsbury, Accrington.



Responsibilities




Accounting



Manage the Financial Accounts Team and liaise with wider business colleagues to produce annual Financial Statements for all the legal entities within Group in compliance with regulatory and accounting standards

Reporting




Liaise with the Finance Manager (Mgmt Accounts) to produce the monthly management accounts pack including supporting schedules through sharing resources and maximising system outputs. Co-ordinating and collaborating with peers to complete monthly reconciliations and analysis to validate and confirm balances accurately reflect business performance.

Systems and Data




Work collaboratively with colleagues to support automation leading to clear and concise end to end processes.

Cash Flow




Liaise with Treasury to manage cash flow planning and monitoring, ensuring transactions are reflected in the correct entities at all times and to support cash management across the business.

Linking




Provide a link between the analysis of data across teams. Provide data assurance to ensure that information decisions are made at the right level. Effective collaboration across teams to enhance delivery and performance.

Developing the Service




Identify, build and develop an extensive network of external contacts to keep abreast of best practice and benchmarking to deliver efficiencies, improvements and value for money.

Management, Leadership and Culture Change




Manage the budgets, resources and priorities of the team ensuring effective and efficient use of resources to deliver agreed performance targets and customer satisfaction. Drive culture change across the organisation based on the 8 values

Skills/Experience




Essential:




Experience of delivering financial support to internal and external customers. Experience of managing and reporting financial performance information. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels with both financial and non-financial management team members. Experience of working with finance ledgers. Experience of interpreting complex financial information and using it to inform business decisions. IT skill - Microsoft Office, Excel at intermediate level. Experience of leading & developing people to deliver high performance.

Desirable:




Experience of Commercial Modelling and Options Appraisal. Experience of housing finance systems.



Qualifications




Full qualification with a recognised accounting body (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
