Job Description

An opportunity has arisen to cover maternity leave for our Finance Manager in the Direct Commissioning team covering Health and Justice and Specialised Commissioning in the East of England region. The role is offered on a fixed term/secondment basis until end September 2026 to cover maternity leave.



We are looking for an individual who can operate in a fast paced and exciting environment and who can bring not only previous experience but diversity in thought and diversity in background to an established team.



The key elements of the role will include, but not be limited to:



Support the delivery of timely and accurate reporting of financial performance across the East of England Region.



Working with the Operational financial team to identify and assist in ensuring performance concerns are addressed.



To liaise with central and regional teams to develop, understand and interpret policy and advice & disseminate and confirm compliance with accordingly.



To support the team's role in the financial planning process.



To support the provision of analytical financial support



You will have excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and analytical skills.

Earlier this year, the Government announced that NHS England will gradually merge with the Department of Health and Social Care, leading to full integration. The aim is to create a smaller, more strategic centre that reduces duplication and eliminates waste.



If successful at interview, we will initiate an Inter Authority Transfer (IAT) via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR). This retrieves key data from your current or previous NHS employer to support onboarding, including competency status, Continuous Service Dates (CSD), and annual leave entitlement. You may opt out at any stage of the recruitment process.



You must be fully qualified AAT or Part Qualified CIPFA/CIMA/ACCA for this role.
